  3. MXPX is not a band generally liked by people claiming to be "true punk rock" fans, and to be honest, the band is not really punk rock at all. MXPX is decidedly pop punk, in line with bands like Good Charlotte or Blink, but MXPX brings a certain level of reality to their music that is mostly evident on their live album, recorded at the Club in Baltimore/5(31).

  5. the best short songs in my opinion are lefetime enlightenment, wantad, andrea, and fist vs tact. the better long songs include tomorrows another day, sometimes you have to ask yourself, time brings change, invitation to understanding, middlename, and punk rawk show. the music on this cd seems to be strongly inspired by various emotions and or.

  7. MxPx caught the attention of Tooth & Nail Records when the band played a showcase for the label in in Herrera's parents' back yard. The band's first major album, Pokinatcha (), was released while the band members were still in high school. The album, though classified as Christian punk, incorporated the quick styles of hardcore punk, and is composed of influence from skate/surf punk.
